FLEX AIR is a wonderful addition to the main gallery as it is a free standing exhibit that utilizes air flow through a series of connected tubes with insert pods where children can feed scarves and balls. By using the hand held levers on the exhibit, children can manipulate the direction the objects will travel. The objects fly at high speed moving upward and being shot out and back down to the ground. Children will enjoy the whirlwind of excitement and learn while they play. Some of the concepts they will experience include: the effect of air pressure, how air-flow can change direction and air as a source of power and energy.
